Mea culpa from Armstrong has as much probability as a snowball's chance in hell.

Totally out of character together with the reality of a landslide of consequential legal actions against him.

Without an apology expect no redemption.

The article would indicate the one (a mea culpa) is not needed for Austin.

" He's got five kids, two of whom live with him. He's very active, going to see all their sporting events, sometimes coaching their soccer teams. He sits in line to pick up the kids."

Not sure I'd be very happy about that!! - although I'm guessing their performance has improved recently;)

"The last time I talked to him, he said he's going to get the last word." Scary:eek: - don't suppose it will be sorry!

It's nice to see worldwide humiliation hasn't made him more human. He'll be back, crazier than the last iteration. This is worse than slowing down to gawk at a car accident. I'm looking forward to it.

tough times for lance. for him to see himself be ridiculed like that, becoming this global symbol of sports fraud, cheating, lying, and PED-abuse, that must suck, kind of.
he did slightly overdo it, didn't he?

Yeah, but some folks will keep using the LIVESTRONG nonsense to give him a pass and still support him.

IOC postpones decision on Lance Armstrong medal

The IOC decided after its Executive Board meeting it would wait for the UCI to inform the athlete and give him the right to appeal.

“The IOC today will not move because we need to have the situation whereby the UCI notifies officially Mr. Armstrong of the fact that he will be disqualified and declared ineligible and that he should hand over his medal,” IOC President Jacques Rogge told reporters.

“When he will be notified Mr Armstrong will have 21 days to launch an appeal. It is only after that period that the IOC can legally take action.”

THE IOC are collectively idiots. Why bother with something that is, by their admission, long past their SOL? Just to get some sad attention?

Man up and follow your own rules.

There is a precedent about IOC not interfering in another body's internal regulations and jurisdiction.

One Lance Edward Armstrong in June 2006 complained in writing to the IOC about Richard Pound requesting the IOC intervene and either dismiss or suspend him from the Olympic movement for his alleged transgressions as head of WADA.

The IOC declined to move toward removing Pound as an IOC member, and found it had no jurisdiction over WADA. In response, Pound said he was accountable to WADA, not to the IOC.

There appears to be some interesting sealed documents now unsealed and forthcoming, and the requirement to testify to boot. He certainly had not quit fighting when he said he did......nose-grow!

Is there an extradition treaty from Hawaii? Appears Mr. Armstrong had avoided testifying in June.

June of 2011. Looks like the subpoena was for documents only.

It's interesting that they served him in San Franciso. Wonder if Weisel also got a subpoena?
