Why would BA start raising hell in 1998 or 99 and thus jeopardizing her husband's career and the well-being of those she cares about?

Exactly, which is another one of the big differences between Betsy's situation and Sheryl's. Sheryl was untouchable; nothing LA could have said or did could have affected her financially. I can understand not speaking up while she and LA were still together (assuming that, unlike Betsy, she was comfortable with having a relationship with a doper), but after? Do you think she was unaware of the SCA testimony, which would have shown her that LA was not simply a doper in a sport rampant with doping, but also committed perjury? Don't you think she had an obligation to speak up at that point, when LA was cheating an insurance company out of millions of dollars? When it became apparent that he was, LA was almost universally considered a sleazeball of the worst kind, so what does this say about someone who knew about the sleaze and remained silent? Another major difference between her and Betsy. AFAIK, LA never committed perjury during the period of Betsy's silence.

Why would JV throw away his career in 98?

Like Dr. Mas, you conveniently ignore the rest of my quote, "or any time after". No, I wouldn't expect JV to say anything while he was riding, but he was retired as a racer for many years before he even confessed to his own doping, let alone LA's.

.

You think if she would have came out publicly prior to 2010 it would have had no effect? The legion of LAF rubes who thought he didn't dope would have caused her grief, including financial IMO. I stick by my original post stating she made the choice that was best for her for her own reasons, which I understand and which also hundreds of others made.

I don't think I 'conveniently' forget anything...I either honestly forget or I ignore. Why should I address something obvious? You can apply this to everybody involved in this fiasco; they were all legally compelled to speak up and did nothing beforehand. Why single out JV? JV was part of omerta and he was still involved in cycling, so I will just leave it at that.

Perhaps you 'conveniently' forget my statement in the previous post:

I should note I reply to your post for argument's sake under the assumption that these particular people really had a problem with his doping, which I doubt. That tends to put a damper on shame.

Mike Rann - Livestrong/Armstrong fan/apologist/facilitator. Is he anyway repentant or just happy people were looking the other way when appointed High Commissioner to the UK?

Wonder if Micheal Berry will still be on the Christmas card list when Lance finds out he told the Fed's Lance's asked him to lie to the Grand jury?

Is this from the book?

I will be getting it at some stage later today.

No disrespect to you, but Lance likes his credibility. Oh, that's right, he has none.

It would be good to blow another 100 billable hours fending off a weak attack, but there's STILL no political will to prosecute. The rules don't apply to a guy that can still apparently afford a peloton of lawyers.

Don't forget this quote

“Birotte does not speak for the federal government as a whole,”

it is not over, not even close

VeloNews Blah-de-blah-blah-blah

Same Wonderboy "interviewed" at Velonews. It reminds me of the Peanuts cartoon teacher. The guy hasn't changed a bit. Creeepyyy.

Someone at that high school paper is still trying to salvage the myth.

Tygart indicating they still have more.
Because there were other team owners and others involved, we firmly believe … there’s more that’s there.

Still waiting for the story to fully implicate Wiesel/Tailwind/CSE and the UCI itself. They are/were running the equivalent of an entertainment wrestling sports media business and calling it an Olympic sport.

Not worth your time and I don't particularly like rewarding Velonews with page views for posting propaganda.

This is worse than watching paint dry, however.
