tough luck...
Only 19 years old, been training over half his life, busted two days before the games... for taking the same thing everyone else is taking, and he won't get to participate in the next olympics either. Career over. Brutal.

We can assume that the brittish team are living the magic wands since the Tour. Who would check them in their home turf?

And yet you believe nadal is clean

Yes. I have no doubts Nadal began his career doped up, but nowadays, yes. Nadal never destroys his opponents like the Sky/brits doing these days. In fact, i think the brits have set a new all time low in doping matters and have carte blanché from McQuaid et. al. in doing so. The eternal darkness is upon us.

Bradley Wiggins and Mark Cavendish, both riding for the Sky team and representing Great Britain will be race’s centre of attention as Cavendish seeks to add an Olympic title to his impressive palmares.
"It would be great if it happened because it's another edition to this fairy-tale story," McQuaid told The Associated Press. "It would be great for cycling and great for the Olympic Games."
According to Pat McQuaid, crowds are set to flood the streets of London for the 250km race. This is in part due to the favourable circumstances that have led into the London Games. Cavendish also won the Olympic test event in London last year and McQuaid believes the popularity of cycling in Great Britain will be evident come race day.
"There will probably be the biggest crowd ever seen at an Olympic Games . I’m predicting something close to a million people could be on the roadside," he said in an official UCI release.'

It's almost unfathomable that the Jamaican team do not have a real off season drug testing programme. No wonder their sprinters are so fast!
It will be a great day when Bolt gets exposed as a fraud.

And the countdown begins...NOW!

So, after Vino's positive test is announced, will cycling get booted from the Olympics?

It will be a great day when every world class sprinter of the last 30 years gets exposed. Mud wrestling is a cleaner sport than sprinting.

Not really the dawn of a new era :) what a shame for cycling. It would a great story ... As long as we don't get a news release in 7 days time.

What were the German's thinking? They were more disruptive than helpful.

What tow Sky(Gb) to the end? I think they played it well.

Sky turned the clock back at the Tour. So it's rightful Vino won.

If you dope, at least do it stylish. That's all I say about it.

Also, first person caught doping in Olympics, anabolic steriods, was announced matter-of-factly.

At least Vino already has an asterisk, and isn't being touted as the new, clean rider.

I'm going to throw the cat amongst the pigeons: I'm glad Vino won. He won with great style in a great race. He served his time. While some may want lifetime bans for first offences, that is not the case and he is racing legally and according to all the rules of the game. If Vino is racing clean, he is showing that a clean rider can win big races like the Olympics RR. That should be some reason for hope.
