I think Saxo Bank ultimately are quite happy to lose the yellow jersey considering all the work they have had to do in the first stages. If they can avoid doing the same thing the rest of the week they won't cry over it.

Contador takes a bottle. He is suffering.

im amazed.. hes regularly on the back, and is up on the pedals a lot just to keep up...

serious serious questions...

(and as i say that he moves to the front.. maybe to slow the pace down.. ;))

Wishful or fearful thinking? I doubt he's suffering more than others. Look at Monaco, Spanish TT championships. His form disappears in 3 days?

My stream has died again, but it looks to be Armstrong in yellow. I guess I am a Contador fan now :)

Sherwin says Lance is taking inordinate number of pulls (maybe means longer pulls?). Could be some insubordination here, if you could call it that. Lance aiming at Alberto.

That uphill footage said it all. Lance made a long pull, but instead of dropping back, he kept paddling out of the saddle next to Contador for a few seconds. Alberto really needs to lay down the hammer on Arcalis, or he'll never be the Astana alpha male.

That's doable. I thought it would be a lot worse to be honest. Especially after the first time check.

Yes it is, depending on the other teams tactics. EVERYONE has to attack Astana. They need Conta/LA to crack. Boy o boy the mountains should be some entertaining stuff!

Im pulling for Contador to win the tour. But Id like to see Lance get a chance at being in yellow again, as long as he plays the team player when the time comes.

Are you watching the same race? Contador is always 2 spots behind Lance in the train and does regular pulls.

46:28 keep an eye on the clock...

As said before, love him or hate him, youre watching history

Alberto is a climber by designation so this types of efforts aren't his thing. That being said, he's hanging tough and picking up some very valuable time on the other GC contenders. Astana could take all 3 top spots in Paris.

Thanks for that info.

No mercy on Arcalis. He needs to stamp his authority on the team.

hes been on the back more than anyone.. maybe just resting whenever there is a gap, is seems to be in front of AC, maybe hes just not great at riding on someones wheel.. lol think maybe he was just taking it easy and saving his energy for friday
