Giro Helmets

why is Astana and other Giro-sponsored teams not wearing the Ionos/Atmos but some crappy old Giro model on todays stage? I'm sure they were wearing the newer model earlier in the stage?

Garmin wants one last hurrah before they totally fally apart on the final climb.

They are still drunk from last night's cases of champagne when they celebrated Millar's another near win...

Astana is having budget problems. They no longer have the money to pay a bazillion dollars for two dollars worth of styrofoam, plastic, and nylon.

Must be free advertising for those ugly Giro helmets they're wearing, what's with them?

They are making their winning bid for the tours ugliest kit....maybe they are riding for Wiggins or Vandevelde to have a near win today...:p

I have problems trusting helmets where the goal of the manufacturer is making them as light as possible. They must be aiming for the bare minimum that passes the standards.

As if a helmet that light will not smash open at a crash at 80kph!

Anyway - pretty boring stage innit?

After this stage, there'll be no action on GC until last TT and Ventoux, surely St. 15 isn't a big enough finish to split it up...boring tour, BRING IN THE GIRO ORGANISERS!!!

You know, those ARE some ugly assed helmets. Almost as bad as the old Specialized Sub Zero helmets from the early 90's.

Usually happens when pre-stage expectations are so high. Can't possibly live up to the hype.

They're not on the climb yet, hold on...

Dudes, the haven't even reached the climb yet. It's going to get good.

It may not be steep enough to get good. We can hope, but they could ride a hard tempo almost the entire way up.
