Not the most exciting of courses, seems to be set for four sprint finishes, but there could be some strong winds which may break the peloton up, and as always in France there will plenty of aggressive riding. Hopefully none of the riders tuning up for the Vuelta encounter any problems along the way too.

It may look innocuous but riding this area is mentally very hard. Roads are rarely flat and the constant rollers make the riding hard. I can guarantee that one stage will have a break that stays away - probably 3 or 4. That class 2 climb on the first stage looks steep but a bit too early in the stage for a break to stay away.

Love this part of the country. There's hardly anybody there!

A good little race with some names getting ready for the Vuelta. There should be some tired legs as the race blew apart and reformed several times yesterday, Bozic was dropped at one point before coming back to win.
