He rode outside today for an hour / 32K.
That's going to be good for his head, at least. I wouldn't be surprised if he isn't putting more time indoors with lower intensity. Mixed with PT he can at least halt decline in fitness somewhat.
If anyone catches video of him going uphill out of the saddle we'll know he wasn't badly hurt. Til then...

He looks good physically, but I still worry about the mental edge. Where vdP has only gotten better and more dialed mentally over the years, Wout seems to have gone the other direction. That said, I hope I'm wrong and he's in the mix over the next month. These races are better with more big riders competing for the win.

He should just focus on the wheel of Ganna. Poggy and MVP are way better climbers/punchers but if Ganna and Van Aert work together they might get an outside chance to win or at least battle for podium.
