Out of nowhere, Alaphillippe comes in 2nd in his very first Fleche Wallonne, just behind Piti. This team never fails to disappoint.

New clean era and a young talent like Allaphilippe can come to the surface, why are you surprised?

Must be all the new testing Cooskon introduced and made independent.....oh wait......SSDD.

Out of interest, when was the last time a Quickstep rider tested positive?
Not a positive test, but Barredo got results from his Quickstep years annulled in the bio passport case:
17 October 2007-24 September 2011 DQ, of which 2007. 2008, 2009 and 2010 were in Quicksteps colors.

Anybody else wondering of Kwiatkowski got a warning letter from the UCI? Hes is been pack fodder for months now.
Getting a letter from the UCI is exactly what is meant by the phrase 'the curse of the rainbow jersey'.

Why? Terpstra and Stybar hasn't really changed much, certainly not for the better. Tommeke isn't the best benchmark as his prep was worse last year. Alaphilippe is still so young that you'd expect him to improve somewhat. Dan Martin is also pretty much the same level.

Kittel beat Viviani and Bouhanni and De La Cruz won with a well timed attack over a group who wouldn't organize and lacked most of the big instigaters. Not exactly smoking guns there.

Yeah pretty much Gilbert is performing on a level you wouldnt expect.

Netserk: He mainly won that time trial by throwing his bike around corners on the wet roads than anything else. You would expect him to follow Henao Mur de Fayence, but he was pretty mediocre despite that performance in the ITT
