I both read they in their personal reactions they didn't have a good day. Still dissappointing though.

As for the race itself, like I said it was a nice race but it didn't feel like watching Omloop het Volk.. sounds weird but feels like I was watching a random 1.1 belgian race, not as much action from the big names as usual. Probably due to the weather

I think that's a reasonable assessment. Chavanel the exception I suppose.

for a first race back since south America, Chavanel has to show some face. He did well to spark some life into the break and then it was all about his teammate. They did not win but they collect those devil UCI points.. beh!

Geraint Thomas had a heavy crash 70km in, leaving him dizzy and splatting all his gels, leaving him running on low later

Did his head not clear enough to ask the team car for more?

Really? and he still placed 4th! Wow, that is impressive. Thomas will have a good classics season I think. I actually think he's Sky's best bet for a good classics result.

The thing is: was he enough?
Wynants was their third man behind Boom and Vanmarcke. Certainly seemed the strongest today.

It was a weird race, very much affected by the cold. Chavanel looked like he was gonna ride away with it, and then just couldn't stay in front anymore.

Congrats to Paolini- i like him. The race seemed good but it was not as fun to watch a little on youtube compared to last year on TV.
