Don't want to sound like an eurocentric cycling fossil but Omloop is the true start of the season for me.

Kinda rooting for the new Quick Step this weekend!

Can't wait for the real season to start. Even more curious to see if Wout is good enough. If not, he is not going to threat MVP and Pogacar.

The last two climbs are the same as in the old Tour of Flanders, but what comes before is shorter and easier, so a bigger group in the final is possible. The part between the Berendries and the Muur can be very tactical.

The strongest teams should be Soudal, UAE and Visma. Soudal has an experienced team around Magnier, who seems ready to win a classic of this level. UAE has no sprinter, so Wellens, Politt or F. Vermeersch should attack and try to finish solo. Van Aert does his first race since his ankle fracture, so Visma might play another card with Brennan.

Other riders in shape are Pidcock, De Lie and Girmay, but they don't have the team to control the race. Another win for Waerenskjold is unlikely, so this race will probably get a first-time winner.

Hopefully one of the favorites will rip it open on the Muur, which will be packed with cycling-crazy spectators.

Finally some real racing, not these Mickey Mouse Oil State races/Iberian warm up races.

I like that somehow Küng didn't get mentioned at all by the 2nd poster, maybe he can get his season going for real as well?

He's a much better classics rider than a lot on that list definitely and probably deserved a star, but I've always seen Küng as someone who gets going end of March/ April and doesn't seem to start well, he also seemed quite downcast in his interview after the tt so I don't think the form is there yet.

Which makes a ton of sense, I just wanted to mention that he's actually here as well, not to be forgotten lol
