Is it me or does Harmon always call the top of the climb prematurely?

he seems to be comopletely clueless in anything involving cycling. he even said tony martin is an experienced rider.

How long (time wise approximately) to the main climb. Its a hot day (and over here even in summer you dont know how many months you may have to wait for another such day) so im trying to avoid watching all but the main bits.

I am surprised at how big the bunch still is. They can't have gone too fast up that last climb, no?

they did, they are just trying to hold on when pro riders try to hold on they usually can as long as climbs aren't too long. reason you see them drop on final climbs is because riders let go easier as it's closer to finish, now still many want to work.

What was about Klöden ?

I was making coffee and just heard basque commentators saying Klöden 10 times in a row

There's still a cat 2 climb, then flat then the final climb

the last climb is about 7km long and the top is 1.5km before the finish
so final 10km, be there

Cool, indeed. And there was me thinking that that was the long flat already, a bit earlier. This screen is way too small to make heads or tails of the profiles.

Chill the eff out Ryo, did you even watch De Ronde? Thomas has been a beast on the cobbles this season, he might not be better than Flecha right now but he's not far off.

I hope you guys are ready for a Shack Attack on the final climb.

And Movistar

Movistar will go with Intxausti first
Then Tondo
Then Lopez

Lopez is far better than Tondo at the moment.

Shack probably won't use the same tactic. They will want Kloden and Horner as close to the top as possible without sacrificing one of them. That way if one fails in the time trial, they have backup. With that said, one of them will attack. Probably Horner. Kloden will stay in the peloton. If Horner's attack doesn't work he'll hang on with the others - well try to.
