Panasonic Steel Track Frames

Are these legit? seems to be to be no real difference than say a KHS Flight 100 or the like apart from lug welds

Anyone?

If the frame uses wheels of the same diameter, has the basic triangle configuration, and meets the tube cross-section requirements I do not see how it would not be legal. Rules for bikes are shown here but all are not applied for pre-2012 made bikes (there is some debate on how these rules apply to track bikes).

The difference between the Panasonic frame and others may be weight due to tube material and dimensional differences.

I have a 1984 steel track frame that I ride in USA masters track races including nationals and looks very much like the frame shown in the post number 2 link.
