I just hope that Higuita is only going to take part in very rainy races from now on, until at least the next Colombian championships. I don't want to see this yellow-magenta thing anymore!

Exciting stage, bad luck for two more of the main guys, though.

That Bora leadout was weird.
No worries! he will be wearing the best young rider's jersey from now on... and probably most of the season he may have that opportunity.
Now, re, the national jersey... I find it too flashy but it's better than mixing it with pink

Higuita is physically in fantastic shape. He will obliterate everyone on La Colmiane and win another Paris-Nice for Colombia.
First, he will probably lose around 40 sec to Nibali in the ITT. Then we'll see. I fully expect LRP to destroy the field on Colmiane. This is not your usual March Nibali.

schacman will put time into Higuita in the ITT, though I question him in the mountains. It’s a wide open race.

I think Schachmann can perform good at short steep hills and on longer flatter mountains. Where he is not that good are longer steep mountains.
Because the mountain on Saturday is with 6,2% not that steep, he could limit his losses. But we will see..

Tomorrow 50k's lumping on top of today's, possibly in even less friendly conditions.
Can't be said anybody's out of the race yet.
Those showing the form are still in, despite the losses.

Bora's exploiting the pole position really well.

Yes Nizzoli was really strong. They were probably all spent after such a hard race. Really amazing effort from Higuita. That was a day for the strongman, not miniclimbers :)
Tomorrow even more wind, but more from the front.

Nizzolo is in the best 'classics' shape of his life at the most inopportune time imaginable. Typical really.

Another great stage for Paris-Nice (stage 2). It was beautiful chaos, as Rob Hatch would say. I like Schachmann's great work so far. He may surprise some folks in the mountains--not with explosiveness but possibly in the ability to hang close to whoever attacks from the best climbers. Also, Higuita is looking great--I'm very impressed by his "rouleur" ability as well as his climbing. He may not lose that much time in the TT to GC riders like Schachmann and Nibali.
