So apparently, UAE is sending the likes of McNulty and Almeida to Tirreno instead of PN (according to PCS). IMO, this does not bode well for Pogacar's GC chances. Atm, UAE has Pogi, Wellens, Trentin, and Majka in their provisional PN startlist. My first thought was that McNulty and Almeida were definitely going to PN to bolster that TTT squad (and the mountains squad too) but apparently, that may not be the case. But anyway, there is still a few days before they make the squads official so we'll see. Atm though, I can see Pogacar losing 45 seconds+ to Vingegaard which is good for the race but I just don't know how he'll claw back that time especially with Vingegaard in really good form.

Thanks.

Stage 4 looks like an uphill sprint of a small group probably. Stage 6 is far from the finish, but the fact that there's not a descent immediately makes me somewhat optimistic that it can at least be shattered into small groups there.
It’s after the TTT, so maybe Pogi will reduce it to a sprint-a-deux with Vingegaard. I think it’s hard enough.

The idea both Pogi and Jonas are peaking. And for TTT to favor JV. I would say that this bodes well with Pogi psychologically. He knows that if he wins he will do damage. And hence winning is the only option for him. Now can he do it?

Coming soon.

Given the TTT of 30km, Vingegaard will problably be a minute ahead of Pogacar. (And given Vingegaard is flying with the alien (all-in) approach).
I don't see how Pog can get that time back.
Vingegaard just needs to follow him after the TTT, and that is what he will do....

Yes, I assume Pogacar will go a longer way alone to the finish line then Vingegaard.

I suppose 3-4 weakest TT guys of each team will be "rocket boosters" for the first 15-20 km of the course, like domestiques on early stages of long climbs (they will do their share of work but at the pace of stronger guys so they will drop earlier). Then stronger guys will keep it together before possibly catapulting the leader at the very end. I don't think it makes sense to release the leader alone as long as his partner is not dead and can hold the wheel and lead for some time (I.e. 20-30%).
