UAE guys are better than EF's. Feel free to check results for reference.
Steinhauser, whom you pointed as good TT rider, has only one half decent "TT" in his career - 15th place in Romandie 2022. And that was a prologue.
I don’t dispute that they are better riders, but that is not what is most important here.

Check Steinhausers results in prologues and other TTTs.

Generally I think, that Steinhauser could surprise us this year and also in this race.

At the last stage at the UAE Tour, he finished together with van Eetvelt and three others as first of the group, who missed the split at the last stage.

One thing I don't like in cycling is we never see a duel between teammates like F1. It would be great to see a duel between two teammates if they are even in the mountains.
Seems mostly true, aside from the scrumptious Contador-Armstrong.

The fact that Visma management didn’t let let their 3 leaders battle it out in the Vuelta is even more pathetic in retrospect. Was the last chance Roglic was in good enough form to try to beat Vingegaard (or at least give him a real battle) and we were denied that. Plus Kuss has been a shadow of his former self since then, so the team shenanigans . . . ah, whatever, what’s done is done.

Damned if you do, damned if you don't. Angry Americans, angry Slovenes, angry Danes... whatever you do, it's never good for everyone.

I do agree that Kuss has basically disappeared off the face of the earth since that win. A poisoned gift.

Well, I’m American and I was disgusted with how the team played that. I have a hard time understanding how regular cycling fans (which obviously there are very few of in the U.S.) could have enjoyed that outcome.

Well, let's hope someone is able to drop Jorgenson on one of the hills. Otherwise it could become a boring race.

Unfortunately, Buitrago, one of the riders I gave a good chance to do some damage, already is down for more than a minute. I would be surprised if Lipowitz, Skjelmose, Sheffield, Powless, McNulty, Van Wilder, Gall ... could really hurt Jorgenson. Maybe Vlasov, O'Connor or Almeida.

I think stage 5 is the best bet for action before the last stage in Nice. The two MTFs should be quite controlled.
