Standing still. Some turned around to grab a jacket.

Riders should have no say, it's the job of the commissionaires to decide if the race can continue.

There was hail for, like, 2 minutes. And as soon as they neutralized it stopped. Now there are riders everywhere and I gam time gaps will be hard to fix…what a genius decision.

Vande Velde just said they're gonna try to resume the race at a lower elevation or some such... the weather does look really quite nasty for bicycle racing.

Riders all over the place right now trying to pick up their jackets from team cars...

Seems the French have lost their mind.
Good thing the Italians won't cancel a race for it being cold and wet.

I suddenly get why they're known for surrendering. (the French that is...)

If they can all agree to stop a race, then why can't they just agree to not endanger each other and themselves?

Whenever a rider is seriously injured or dies in a crash, we get posts stating we need to do more about safety. Yet when commissars are proactive in neutralising a race for safety reasons people complain. You can't have it both ways.

No initiative of the riders it has to be said. A commissaire decision based on the crash of the motorbike up in front.
Oh... Well never mind then. Of course there is a risk, that ASO don't want to anger the riders. In which case the riders are at fault anyway!
