In his defense, a guy the size and weight of a paper airplane from the French south coast is about the first guy you'd put down to underperform in these circumstances.

He won Laigueglia in this weather last year
And one of these French climbing races in bad weather too

Also if he was bad in this kind of weather it would be the opposite of "in his defense" cause it would be a weakness and another reason to not pay him that much. He's the prime example of cycling going to ***. Talented rider but they give him money like he's going to podium the Tour cause they don't care if the money is being thrown into the bin.

EDIT: think I'm misremembering Laigueglia, but he has done good in bad weather anymore. Anyways the point is the 2nd part of the post.

Lidl-Trek continue sticking with their simple pre-planned tactics. Skjelmose didn't ride in the break, which was somehow supposed to help Mads P. win the sprint. Now Mads P. is catching the break for UAE and V-LaB and RBBH?

He was good in the bad weather last year, so I'll put it down to Bahrain's methods.

They're trying to put Vingegaard in trouble, which seems to be working so far. He's all the way back in the group, not looking too good.
