Very good performance by Visma-LAB. As expected, Jorgenson and Vingo finished together and are in the best positions for the GC. They may play it defensively and aim for GC top2. UAE quite disappointing TBH.

Visma look back to his best in TTs after a strange year. UAE is strange, they have riders who can excel in ITT but when they ride a TTT, is so disappointing.

Impressive how a TTT can ruin a race. They didn't learn from the US Postal era.
If UAE was the only opponent, sure it is ruined, but that's not the case. O'Connor only 15s behind, Skjelmose only 30s behind. Vlasov, Buitrago and Van Wilder to be decided.

I would even argue that this gives the possibility for a more attractive race because now the others have to attack.

I think Jorgenson is so strong here that he can allow Jonas to join him in an attack.

It's possible that at this time of the season the difference between Jonas and Matteo is so small that they can finish together and try going for top2 (and the latter's victory).

Not sure, he's behind Jorgenson at the moment so he could be answering the attacks from others, and eventually attack himself if he feels he's stronger.
Yes, they will surely let Vingegaard follow the attacks of the others. If he wants to win the race, he has to hope, that Jorgenson cannot follow the attacks of the other riders..

Jorgenson was doing altitude training before the opening weekend. I think he is close to top shape.

One thing I don't like in cycling is we never see a duel between teammates like F1. It would be great to see a duel between two teammates if they are even in the mountains.

Think Bahrain will get screwed the most by the TTT, Santiago is probably the best climber here outside Visma. QS usually set a good time.

Tour de France 2009 is the closest thing you'll probably ever get to that.

Have you forgotten epic scenes from Vuelta 2023?
UAE accidently inciting an inter-team war in Visma because of their tactical ineptitude, resulting in Roglic leaving, because they had miscellaneous puncher Finn Fisher-Black try and solo bridge a minute gap to TDF champion Jonas Vingegaard on a mountain instead of trying to bring the time gap down a bit? That part was entertaining yeah the rest not so much.
