IMO, it’s not worth it. Probably better for him to recover for the more important goals ahead. Or let’s see. Maybe Jonas himself wants to continue.
Why not worth it? If it doesn't hinder him and "just" hurt a bit, it's still a top placing in an important stage race at stake.
Most riders would probably try it out, and even though Vingegaard is somewhat mentally tough, he is still also mentally soft, and I'm afraid he's not lining up today. It doesn't "depend on the medical staff" at all, I don't buy that at all. It's about Jonas' head, it's always been that way. And his head wasn't right yesterday (of course likely partly due to a small concussion)

Almost as if real doctors know more about this than internet wannabe doctors.

The correct decision to leave the race. No reason to take risks with this stuff and they have Jorgenson in pole position anyway.
They should have pulled him yesterday I think. He has bigger goals and risking riding is kind of wild.

Not adding you as the "Wrist Expert" down in the "Cycling Classes with the Amateurs" thread.
Again, I just said he was fine after Visma released his "injury". He was good enough to continue yesterday and today he would be able to, but he didn't want. I respect his opinion but don't tell me his injury is hurting him so much he can't ride his bike. This was a cautious decision by Visma and I agree (even if it is bad for the race).

If this was the decisive part of the Tour and he had a yellow jersey then maybe he would continue and fight for the victory. They decided in the long term it's better to rest now and likely participate in Catalunya.
Exactly, I totally agree with this.

What a shame, I guess his steering/braking would still be impaired. Jorgenson will be much more exposed on the last stage.
When they say bruising i am assuming they are meaning that he has more internal bruising/ swelling which is really painful since there are so many joints in the hand. There is also a risk of there being a small fracture that appears when the swelling subsides.

You have no clue how his injuries evolved during the night.

Healthy wrist is an essential part in cyclists gearbox. On top of that we have seen how the performance was affected by injured wrist. Jonas was not competitive. Based on what i seen i have my doubts about Jonas riding at Catalunya.
