Well, a Conti-fanboy quickly trying to change the focus to the results of some RS domestiques won´t change the fact, that Alberto STILL has gotta lot to learn. :D

Nothing classier than someone being happy that a rider crashed. You serve your Master well. By the way, Leipheimer finished with the same time. Again. Cheers

From an article about a Contador press release via Google Translate

From the description of the injury, a routine of ice and heat will be the treatment--to cold to freeze/solidify the hematoma (blood) and heat to help break it up and thus loosen the muscle--which is probably hard as a rock at the moment. He should be fine in a day or two.

Good performance by Tommy D. In windy conditions he managed to stay in a small group ahead of the autobus. He is learning.

Off the programme in 08. Too many people above him 09. Now working for LL & LA - he got top 10 in 07 when working for AC & LL, so might do better this year.

Both him and Karpets won white jerseys in the Tour and haven't lived up to it. Mancebo & Sevilla too (in comparison to Menchov, AC [maybe Schleck - too early to tell] anyway)

How weak were the Shack today? Team classification has gone out the window

Brajkovic was top man, at 45th and he had to use half of FDJ to get back into the peloton, when it split.
Other than Levi in 93rd, they managed:
102 Geoffroy Lequatre (Fra) Team RadioShack
122 Tiago Machado (Por) Team RadioShack
130 Sébastien Rosseler (Bel) Team RadioShack
142 Yaroslav Popovych (Ukr) Team RadioShack
170 Christopher Horner (USA) Team RadioShack

174 finishers.

You know what that means? Nothing, not a damn thing. They were in the wrong place when the peloton split. Why even bring it up?

Levi finished in the same group as AC, and they're both competing for the GC. That's all that matters.

You have to be in front when you hit the crosswinds. It's not rocket science ;p

TM is still on the 100 level bootlicking courses. The sarcastic sniping course comes later.

It was a dig at the Team Lance presented by Radio Shack apologist who were trying to make a big deal about TLRS winning the team classification at Algarve. Just a little nose tweaking...

Nice little contradiction there. That's exactly what it means: they should have been at the front of the peloton.

Spot on. That and all the bull about how weak Astana are.
Just a little bit of tit for tat tweaking.
(Of course, if it had been Astana, then it would be big news.;))

Ahhh, Ok. Makes sense.

I think I may have created a new nickname for The Shack...:D

I need your dedication (and spare time).

Id rather not have as much spare time as i do, but while i do i may as well use it. The flv i had anyway from the rip, was more work converting it for youtube to be honest.

my lawyers have told me to stick with youtube anyway. then im just linking to vidoes rather than hosting them :D

IMO will be better for him to retire from the race now and get ready for Vuelta a Catalunya (or how do you spell it).

Isn't his spring racing schedule too hard? Paris-Nice, then Catalunya, then TOTBC, Ardennes classics...

Start one more stage. For me.

True. They should have been, but if Levi concedes no time to AC, it's really a non-issue. They both are still within striking distance. Wonder if we'll see them work together to jump up in the GC, then fight it out.

Fair enough. Though I do find it funny that the only team sitting below RS in the Team Classification is Astana

Just sayin...

Can we just have a thread dedicated to Team Classifications? :p

If it wasn't for Publicus and Ravens, I'd have missed the fact that I'd hooked a tiddler.
Hope you weren't planning on saving this IP address for yet another rainy day.:p

We should. We all know they are vastly more important than the GC or any of the leader's jerseys. :p

...and that's what every DS says to his sponsors when they don't win: "look! We were the best on Team GC which means we're really good! Don't fire me, please..."

You know I was this close to saying how surprised I was at how civil and pleasant this forum had become while I had been not paying any attention over the winter, but it seems like every thread just devolves into Contador vs The Shack.

The only difference is that one of those teams has actually stated they want to win a team classification.

Great news for one of my new favourite riders

Bored with the discussions about the same riders I thought I'd try something new this year and support a random rider. I decided the best way to choose was to support a rider with the same birthday as me (or nearest date.)

A quick scan through the recent Procycling gave me three riders to support!

Filippo Pozzato,

Chris Sutton and

Greg Henderson

So my guys are off to a winning start on day 1

keep it up guys.
