He must have really ambled up the hill then, that where he lost 3 mins. I thought a crash on the cobbles!

Well, I think we all wrote that because we expected that's what it was. But I couldn't find any reference to him falling, so I guess he just took it slow.

sucks if that was hoogerland.

Seemed like the rabo guy lost his balance (maybe touched a wheel) and created some confusion which led to the crash.

Peloton blows up! Here we go.........

I love this race.

/edit: looks like it's splitting right in the middle. Every sprinter should be in front now anyway.

Caisse and Astana in tandem. Someone big is out the back (Leipheimer being spoken of) and the Spanish compadres get together.

Half the Shack in the back group, which has sat up.
All over for the Dwarf?

Riders everywhere....FDJ struggling to get back with Brajkovic?

Massive gap!

Well done. I was going to do one, myself, but couldn't find a decent stage profile. Will mooch about. Here we go. A bit bigger, but just as flat.

Who to beat Greipel? Chicci maybe? Hard to look past the giant German, though.
Doesn't look like we'll have any xwind to break things up.

:p ..........
