What did people think of Goss yesterday? Was it that he sat in the wind too much in the last few km that he had nothing left for the sprint?

HTC got fragmented when the peloton split and never fully re-grouped, so Goss was left fighting for position without much help. If they get their lead-out more organised today he should have a chance at the podium.

Goss tried to go on really early on the left side, probably in a desperate attempt to get the leaders ;o.

he wanted to win and tried to close the gap to de Gendt himself. Therefor he was in the wind to early and took it easy when he saw that he couldn't catch de gendt anyway.

I don't know if he must be the favorite for today but he should be in the mix

80kph? Current gusts in the area are around 30kph. Should increase a bit as the day goes on and i think some teams will have picked sections where they will try and break it up but i think 80kph/50mph is a bit over the top.

80km/h wind is nearly storm-force wind, I don't think that's true. Weather Underground shows the wind speed as being not much over 10km/h around the finish town.
