Vino was talking to Sagan across the line. Maybe letting him know what happens to guys who throw elbows?

I think we saw today that Sagan is not really a man for the super-fast mass gallops, he had a clear run from good position and just wasn't as fast as the pure sprinters. He's certainly a great talent but I don't think the big sprints are for him.

Geraint Thomas set that up for Hendo beautifully, he blew right past the HTC train.

Top 10:

Hendo
Goss
Galimzyanov
Haussler
Sagan
Feillu
Roelandts
JJ Rojas
Vaitkus
Wyss (check it out ACF)

Looked like Goss had the speed but had to switch sides from left to right of Hendo in the last 100 meters.

A large group to shove into a narrow finishing straight.
I'm rather disappointed after yesterday's excitement.
Pretty standard fare.

Has Leipheimer finished yet?

Wow... Vaitkus in 9th. After doing an enormous turn on the front (which Vino got all the credit for in this thread) he still prints and finishes very well.

Good job to him too.

Goss tried to elbow his way on to Geraint Thomas' wheel as he went by but Hendo was having none of it.

For a reason better left for another thread here it could well be 90th. ;)

But good ride by him indeed.

Massively close sprint. Vaitkus in 9th isn't much more than a bikelength behind Hendo. They were pretty much all side by side. So much better than boring Cavendish sprints.

He was stammering a bit, I think he meant to say it was the biggest race he'd ever won at.

Yeah, no love for the Tour de Pologne. ;)

Edit: it's down to preference, but i would say the stage in Vuelta was the biggest win

To me it looked like he did not have the speed. Henderson clearly outsprinted him.

I actually think Henderson had the pace to hold them all back - even Goss and Galimzyanov.

Haussler and Feillu were coming but wound up too late (coming from a long way back). Nice job by Feillu avoiding a crash at the end too.

I dont think so, but if that was the case then is PN is bigger than the Vuelta?

I stand by my criticism. Stupid comment.

Susan getting a little snarky on today's live report:
17:10 CET
Leipheimer is at the back of whichever field he is in.

17:14 CET
Schleck moves back to keep Leipheimer company.

Boring stage, I did take a good nap though :p

Did someone already tell the Aussies that the cycling season has begun already? They shouldn't be winning anymore.

Haven't seen it yet but assuming that to be the case Sky seemed to have stepped their game up this season. So far the climbers can actually climb, the lead-out men can actually lead-out and the sprinters can actually sprint. Much better than last year.

The acid test will be whether at the TdF we get another over-hyped Wiggins fail, or a solid all-round performance from the team including a stage win for someone and a top-10 for Wiggins.
