The crowds spectating along the roads are sparse....is there a rugby match going on this afternoon or something?

Of course if you-know-who was there the crowds would be much bigger.

Sébastien Chabal?

10km in tirreno if anyone wants to watch! vino has attacked!

We don't. We want to see it later without knowing what happened. You are a little slow on the uptake.

AC looks comfortable.

the live feed says that the Garmin rider was VandeVeld. Tough break for him. I hope he's ok.

Dude, can you stop commenting on the TA race. I don't warn three times, and this is your second warning.

Just got connected. Is yellow under threat? Who's the highest place rider in the break?

Chavanel, he's virtual leader now by a few seconds.

Chavanel at 1:21 down (he picked up 6 seconds on the sprints). Gap is 1:32.

I have to say Caisse is really helping Astana out right now. Liquigas too.

Astana bears the chasing responsibility. Why would Caisse help Astana? conventional wisdom says they should sit, let Astana burn their matches chasing the break, then attack like banshees.

And yet they were driving the peloton. Which is why I asked the question. Somehow Liquigas avoided it all together, even though they didn't have anyone in the break.

David Millar is sitting right on the back of the Caisse train and looking comfortable. Anyone see how Sagan is going on this climb? Was he in that second group with Boom and Dan Martin?
