That was a demolition job by Alfred, but Richardson looked like a nervous wreck before the start.
Still, Alfred already bossed the semifinal, ran a great time despite the rain and I really like her cold demeanour before the start. It's a breath of fresh air that makes her stand out.
Maybe there’s some product she could use to relax? ;)

I know it's asking too much to expect international commentary that is not loaded with clear bias. Swimming is almost over now, it's sad to see it goes, just as sad as listening to a commentator who went noticeably quiet when the likes of Kos, Pan, Milak, or anyone who are not her fellow Aussie, English speaker, or beloved multimedalist like Maertens or Marchand won. But again I know it's asking too much from a former olympian commentator. The (American?) guy with her is alright though.

And Ta Lou-Smith, although that's less surprising seeing as we saw her pull up injured in the 100m final last night. Desperately upset for her to lose what is almost certainly her last realistic chance to plug that gap on her palmarès and get an Olympic medal, however. But yes, both Jamaicans withdrawing late is definitely noteworthy, even if Shericka Jackson has had a pretty disrupted season overall.

What's the subplot with Crittenden here? That was crazy. He's clearly not happy about something, because he clearly did not run that race like a man who is contending for an Olympic title, and that's the kind of behaviour that gets you turfed off a team.

Edit: nvm - he's exploiting the repechage because he isn't healthy so he's decided to take it easy to make sure he's eligible to enter it, and give himself more recovery time. Cynical, perhaps, and definitely exploiting the system, but the onus is on the organisers to not leave that loophole there to be exploited.

Tough afternoon for Spain, looking to win two of the biggest golds of the games. Alcaraz losing to Djokovic and Rahm completely collapsing after having a four stroke lead with nine holes to go.

Danes only have one little silver medal, so far.

Cant relate

Yeah, it's a tough scene. At least Viktor Axelsen is in the final tomorrow so that's one more medal secured.

And we have a lot more opportunities in the final part of the Games than in the first.

Sounds good. Hope yall can pass Norway.

We got another one for Super-Sara lined up in less than an hour and then Big-Mondo is coming up next for gold!
