Probably but put MVP in Sormano. A rider able to contest all 5 against a rider able to win just 3. There is no competition. MVP can still be the best cobbled rider of all times and for me it should be his biggest goal, even if he is clearly in troubles to beat Pogacar in RVV.
MVP doesn't have time to full focus on road race and lose some kilos to LBL, and that's a shame at the same time.

What a race, what a battle!

Congrats to MVP on his 3rd PR victory. He showed his strength in this race again. TBF when Pog missed a turn MVP initially didn't push hard but was waiting a bit. Then it was race on of course and the Dutch managed to keep and then increase his initial gap.

Congrats to Pogi on the 2nd place in his debut. He lightened up the race with multiple attacks and it was a joy to watch the current TdF champion attacking big boys on the cobbles. He made a mistake but fortunately he finished the race in one piece and on the podium. No shame in losing to MVP, maybe the best rider ever in cobbles races. His current places: in monuments (1, 1, 1, 2, 3) plus WC (1) plus Olympics (3). Insane one-day racing stats, the most complete since Eddy.

MSR and Flanders were great, this one ... mwah, almost as boring as last years big races.
To many crashes for my taste and the flat tire of Pedersen destroyed the chance for a trilling final.
