Joseph, in case any were wondering.
You ruined my joke...
Joseph, in case any were wondering.
That is just oEdersen’s riding style on the cobbles . . . He rides “heavy.” I was responding to whomever saying he was dropped because he lacked smarts. That may be true but that’s not why he lost contact with MVDP in this case. You should listen to Patrick Broe talking about Van der Poel and how he rides the cobbles. Broe is sometimes a clown, but it’s not random that VdP “never” punctures.
Dominance is not entertaining and I shall not be gaslit into thinking it is.Speechless.
Is he a secret Yorkshireman? Everybody in Yorkshire knows that one of each is Fish and ChipsMads P heading for McD to have "one of each", whatever that means.
Surely not one of each item on the menu? That doesn't sound... healthy... or good.
Gaslighting you? Gaslighting...someone I've never met. What an odd response.Dominance is not entertaining and I shall not be gaslit into thinking it is.
You are right I could see AWP riding all the classics next year. The golden boy is coming, wouldn’t be surprised if he rides RVV next year
He didn't get smoked. He made a mistake and that's it.I'm not the one searching for a silver lining after watching my favorite rider get smoked.
Pogacar will not be this dominant in 5 yearsIt's a great era for 3 races only, namely Sanremo, RVV and Roubaix, and all are H2H battles with little suspense outside of that.
Van der Poel isn't gonna be around forever, he's indicated fairly clearly he won't race late into his 30s, so I'd actually say the future of cycling looks dire.
Courses were way easier then.He doesn’t have to be better than them to win Liege, he just has to survive with them to the top of Roche-aux-Faucons. Kelly won LBL and GdL 5 times between them.
They were best friends in UAE
This is very true and it's beyond f****d up, when you look at his GT-record, HC-mountains records and his size(weight&height). Anyways nice race today!Today just showed Pogacar is the best classics rider. He can win all 5, on the other hand MVP can't win LBL and GdL.
I think I missed Küng's crash. When was that?
Is he a secret Yorkshireman? Everybody in Yorkshire knows that one of each is Fish and Chips
Before the current style of fast, full gas racing of the favourites with long finales (and solos) and no surprises, racing was better. The 2021 and 2022 classics were better than what we got afterwards.Gaslighting you? Gaslighting...someone I've never met. What an odd response.
We have legend-level riders attacking one another in the best races. I'm a guy who vastly prefers that over defensive and controlled racing. I don't like dominance either, but the last two races have been absolutely great, attacking battles.
And I love the attitude of these guys. Race all year, attack all the time. It's such a refreshing change from the previous eras.
To me, watching a race like that then landing on "dire" as the future of cycling...well like I said. Speechless.
I think Wout being this bad is hurting the entertainment in classics. Before the current style of fast, full gas racing of the favourites with long finales (and solos) and no surprises, racing was better. The 2021 and 2022 classics were better than what we got afterwards.
Definitely after his puncture took him out of the race for the podium, they stopped showing him on camera before his crashI think I missed Küng's crash. When was that?
I think races never having a lull moment is hurting them. Either the strong teams are on the front and keeping the pace high, or the favourites are gone and everyone is pulling. No cagey racing whatsoever.I think Wout being this bad is hurting the entertainment in classics.
I’m sure that’s where he picked it up…He's only "a Yorkshireman" by invasion. And that was not a secret!
Cyclig does have this, at the TdF at least.I was watching EC marathon, every individual participant can be tracked. Not just at specific stops, but at every second wherever they are. How come cycling doesn’t have this?
It could be at Carrefour. Apparently Wærenskjold crashed badly there and him and Kung finished 42nd and 43rd and they should have been in the same group before Carrefour.I think I missed Küng's crash. When was that?
Three world champions is quite the podium? Is that precedented?
Definitely after his puncture took him out of the race for the podium, they stopped showing him on camera before his crash
Thanks. It could be at Carrefour. Apparently Wærenskjold crashed badly there and him and Kung finished 42nd and 43rd and they should have been in the same group before Carrefour.
