Pogačar should just stop working from now until the finish. Unfortunately he isn't smart enough to do it.
Neither rider can stop working, because neither riders gives a crap about 2nd, so if one stops the other ones does too - and then the group behind catches them.

It's always dangerous with Pogacar, but Wout should cooperate from now on. I'm not sure where he gets dropped, and he won't win if the group behind catch them
group sprint with a fresh laporte is much better than 1v1

Van Aert riding passively and banking on his sprint. I've seen this movie too many times, I'm sorry.
We've seen the movie over and over against Van der Poel. Aside from the epic fail against Powless last year, how often has he lost a big classic in a sprint against someone who was clearly slower on paper?

Van Aert's biggest advantage is the fact he's running narrower tires. The rolling resistance difference will be enormous in a velodrome sprint

Flanders 2022, Amstel 2025.

The desire for Van Aert to win is blinding people, framing this sprint as if Pogacar were Cavendish and Van Aert were Landa.
Amstel was 3-up, Flanders has already been mentioned, he came 4th so it isn't classified as a sprint à deux
