I don't think so. Naesen respected that Terpstra did most of the work.
Direct Energie also needs points for the automatic 2020 Wildcard, while finishing 2nd or 3rd didn't make much of a difference for Naesen. Maybe they had a little chat about that as well

Quickstep is protesting this race because they got too many flats and Lefevere got angry.

Maybe that's the real reason Terpstra changed teams; he needed to continue his podium-run!

(Yes... I know it was made public before P-T last year…)

Quite a difficult race to weigh up. Alot of damage was actually done by the wind before the gravel sectors were reached. Felt bad for Kragh who was going well when he punctured. I like the idea of the gravel sectors but i think they'd work better with a stronger overall field. The race missed the stronger WT teams.
They were on their couches today, after the cancellation of their (useless IMO) Hammer Series.

I just can't take Lefevre - and DQ - boycotting this race seriously. Yes, they had a lot of punctures last year! They also got a podium, which is more than what most teams got. Besides, this year they might have been the ones benefitting from everyone puncturing left and right...

He's just such a baby, and I don't take him seriously, either.

I really look forward to the day he retires from the sport.
