Assuming Sagan is fit then he can win the GC - And could win a sprint - Sagan will be mega in Australia.

Legend. _O_

Specialized could give up Astana, Nibali, Flu, Contrador. Just to keep Sagan.

It is right. 100% correct.

Specialized will give up Astana from 2017. and Nibali will ride Merida.

no news about Etixx - Specialized contract for 2017.

I think this was Sagan peak season. It is almost impossible to have better season. In that new world ranking he set almost impossible amount of points. He will have more than 5300 after this worlds I think. Second is Froome with 3700+ I think he set the record for many years.

He is still only 26. There is definitely room for improvement ...

Hope by now all those who complained few years ago about Sagan getting second in important races, without a team, understand its importance. A well deserved championship!

I hope that some of the critics understand that cycling palmares is not the only "true measurment" of quality of rider. Lets imagine his palmares if he is e.g from France and he has been in Etixxs since 2011. :)

Help me, is this Sagan starting to sprint to bridge into the first echelon? Watch the video here

https://youtu.be/ZeXEPOKKFps?t=2520

I do not have access to a HD version of the video and you can see it only for few seconds, but it does look his style.

yes, it's him , the dutch team set a hard tempo to try and catch the front of the group and i think only sagan and terpstra were able to catch the group. i'm sure it's him because i saw him from the moment the echelons were forming and he was not in front

No.
Which Slovakian rider with a black helmet do you then think it was?

Not to mention that Terpstra is clearly missing from the lead group at that moment, so we know it was still possible to bridge.

Thanks. I re-watched and, yes, it's him. You can see him few seconds before hanging to the Dutch train that was overtaking the long line of riders. So that's how the race was won!
