Physical signs of doping

We all know how HGH makes jaw-lines big like Barry Bonds. What I am curious to know is if there are little hints within the peloton that may let us know something is not quite so honest (Transfusions... EPO... Etc.)

A few years back, someone hinted to the fact that many top pros have pasty pink, if not white lips. I'm not sure this is realistic, but I do notice it from time to time now. The cynic in my can't help but point it out now :p .There must be some physical hint.

Any ideas?

Here we have 3 physical signs on display.

1) 45 deg sloping forehead
2) Premature balding
3) Failed drug test for masking agent

Of course none of this trumps pure ability.

It's all in the eyes. EPO user have an intensity in their eyes that only EPO can bring. See Evans or Armstrongs eyes for what I mean

To suggest Evans is or has been doping is stupid. He is known to be one of the cleanest riders in the peleton and there is no way that he has been. Armstrong has some linkages to it i will agree but to suggest Evans is stupid and incorrect.

#3 is not a physical sign. ;) Cool example. Gert-Jan was and still is terrifying in a Planet of the Apes sort of way. In his youthful pics, he looks less simian.

To suggest that Evans isn't doping when he is at the sharp end (well, just behind the sharp end) of a doped peloton is stupid. His being "known" as a clean rider is what is banded about in Aussie circles, and put forth as "fact." There are a lot of Americans who believe Armstrong is clean...

An illness which keeps you out of the sport for year but allows you to lose weight during treatment - then you gain a 100% improvement in performance afterwards. That's my idea but I could be wrong.

what about in the late 90s when shaved head became all the rage in the peloton? because someone started the rumour they could test for corticosteroids etc. using hair samples.

Shrinkage. You can tell on the podium.

With this logic it is easy to see that oscar freire has never doped.

In other words; no camel bro = dopage
