I think the crash will have a bit of an impact on UAE's confidence so they might not drill it all the way, maybe have a bit of Majka-esque false pacing on the front.

Record would have been broken had Pogi not fallen, but I now don't think it will.

The crash if anything will make the pacing faster, Visma can set a more consistent rhythm and will now be overconfident, I think they were planning on waiting until the Alps.

34:42, just short of the record. Riders are relatively fresh and stage is not ridiculous hard, but there will be some cat and mouse on the climb

Visma will ride hard to try and take advantage of Pogacar’s crash leading to a PdB-style leadout

TBH PdB was almost a perfect team time trial by Visma + Pogi (if you want to optimize team leader time: Pogi's). And there were two domestiques on that climb, not one (Vingo was the second!). Pogacar said that wattage was crazy especially during Jorgenson's pull so it wasn't too slow.
Exactly. That's exactly it.
Jorgensen setting a death pace from the bottom of the climb for 5km, followed by a crazy acceleration by Vingegaard, followed by a perfect death pull from Vingegaard for another 5km and finally Pogacar went off for another 5km.
This all came together to set the record times on Plateau de Beille.

24h ago i think Visma would not dare try to same tactics.
However, since Pogacar crashed yesterday, i actually think Visma should go for it. If Pogacar is hurt (even if only lightly), this is their best chance. They have to go for it.
Even then, I would expect 34:30 to 35:00 at best.

The record will be broken if Visma set a strong pace from the bottom and one of the mutants manages to drop another a few km before the line (either Vingo & Visma breaks Pogi or the latter counters Vingo like it was in PdB last year). If they stay together for too long there'll be some slowdowns and no new record. This is the scenario I'm predicting: 35'20''.

Around 35'22''. I think I won :p
