Who will take it next year, Jack Haig? :)
Probably Mullen, hats off to him for a great ride and a bright future ahead.

The great thing about Flakemore is he is not just a Time-Trialist, he has quite a good sprint as well- probably as good as Hepburn's.

Hopefully OGE sign him for next year :)

Night all.

Silver for Mullen. Im still delighted with that, only 20 years of age, huge future.
He only rideing continental with an post, wonder how long that will last. He only said in an interview yesterday that no team had come to speak to him yet.

Oh and congrats to flakemore, very well raced.

This was great TT, best i've seen a while. Congrats to Flakemore, super last part and the result of it you can see from his face.

Great race.... Nice win by Flakemore and great performance by Mullen.

Only question left is where did Ryo go after his near prophetic predictions

We will see today, om not saying he is definately going to win but he is definately in with as good a chance as anyone.

Oh and by the way he also has the 2nd quickest 10 mile time trial in british history, quicker than both wiggins and alex dowsett has done.

I wouldnt write him off too quickly.

Though i have probably jinxed him now by building him up. dead last today now a certainty.

Dowsett has a 17:20 which is the fastest

Still, Mullen managed to beat him at ToB.

Dowsett had been fighting in two breaks, got the leaders jersey as a result, tried to defend it and his GC position. Then came the ITT.

Mullen was already 50 minutes down in GC, probably saved himself for the ITT. Still it was a very good effort. The ToB event was raced very hard indeed.

Sure, which was a good result for the kid. But Dowsett's 10 mile time is very, very good and not a record I expect to see beaten on British roads any time soon.

I knew someone was going to make this (very sensible) point, but still..... I was quietly impressed that he'd managed it.
