Just looked at the criterium "results", and every country's crit is won by its favourite countrymen or men of the moment (e.g. Schleck, Eisel, Greipel, Vanendert, Hoogerland, Roy), except NORWAY, where Gilbert has to win and Hushovd settle for 3rd.

What's up with that?!
He wanted the World Tour points.

If you were to organise a post-Tour criterium, what would you want the podium to be and why?

I'd want Andy, Hesjedal, and Cav in no particular order. 3 riders I would like to see "race". Hoogie, Contador or Vino would be nice too!

Although Gilbert would probably ruin it all and get the win for himself. :p

Or Andy would probably mess it up and finish second even though he should have won :D

They should have a criterium with Andy beating Cav in a sprint. Cav will have to be a very good Actor.

Andy would keep looking back until Cav caught him.

Evans came 2nd last night in a Post Tour Crit in Bochum , Germany. He is taking these races too seriously!

He had a nice pic with some show girls which seemed like a good prize! :D

Why doesn't Evans ever take his hands off the bars and give the classic two-armed salute, even in a rigged criterium? Are his bars so low he just can't?

You have to Mak Shau, Cadel!

Yeah, it annoys me that he never does a decent celebration compared to Bettini for example :p

Paolo Bettini's machine gun salute was epic :D

On a more positive note, he's definitely less weird in his behaviour last few years.

If he did an OTT celebration in one of these crits, it would give the game away that they're rigged :D

He prefers celebrating on the podium. Tears, flower throwing and posing with large forks ! Maybe success is smoothing out some of the edges ? When he stands next to the Schlecks he looks like a bodybuilder. Those boys needs some home cookin !
