Well with Sky announcing their Deutschland Tour lineup, we now know that Golas, Seb. Henao, Kiryienka and Knees won't do the Vuelta.
So I'd say:
De La Cruz
Van Baarle
Geoghegan Hart
Kwiatkowski
Ser. Henao
Elissonde
Puccio
Castroviejo?
Castroviejo, De La Cruz, Geoghegan Hart, Henao, Kwiatkowski, Puccio, Sivakov, van Baarle

Yeah its a very nice and interesting team honestly. I suppose its Cruz and Henao for the GC, Kwito should hunt stages and I dno about Tao actually. Interested in seeing what Sivakov can do and interesting that they have selected Castro again, he is just pure class.

Tao will be doing his Kiryienka impression on the front of the peloton, but no Kenny E? I'll miss his Tommy Vockler facial impressions :)

I can't see any reason why Sky would take on the responsibility of doing the chasing, unless they end up with the red jersey for a bit. Which I guess is possible, since Kwiatkowski is surely the overwhelming favourite for the prologue, and could then keep the jersey perhaps until stage 9.

F*** me that is a better team than 90% of the WT TDF squads. Jees Sky aren't pulling their punches. They won't win, but they should win several stages at a minimum!
Don't know, I can see kwiat or Castro winning the TT's but if de la Cruz goes for the gc they don't really have a climber so outstanding he can easily win mountain stages. Sure, they could win a lot but I wouldn't be shocked if they don't win anything except a TT

I would concur with this Kwiat would be my pick for the prologue but there only hope of winning any of the mountain stages is from the break which is someone a crap shoot.

They are certainly capable of competing for a bunch of stages but nothing sure fire. I would favour others for the longer time trial

Dennis is on the startlist aswell. He's pretty good at ITT's.

I would put him joint favourite for the prologue probably with Kwiat and ahead of Castroviejo and Campenaerts and out right for the longer TT. Depends how much he works for Porte somewhat. But even RP riding to his utmost would likely only get the red Jersey after the TT.

Nope, Cruz and Kwiatek

Sergio Henao's days for GC are over. Apart for De La Cruz being the leader I don't see any other with any remote possibilities in team Sky. Don't get me wrong, they look like a good team, but far away from the win or even podium IMHO. Naming Castroviejo as a potential B plan is really funny or crazy.

What is the general perception of Ion Izagirre's chance in this Vuelta? Personally, I think he is lined up to ride well as he seems to have been building for this all season. Obviously he was expected to be the "2" in a 1-2 from TBM, but with Nibali in uncertain condition, I think he will ride full gun for GC and ride well. The course should suit his skillset.

He will certainly ride for GC, also did recon on some stages but I'd say at best he can do a top 10.
