I just don't think Evenepoel will hit top form until the very end of the season, hence the Ganna pick

If Pogacar was riding for Jumbo or Ineos I would say everybody please pack the bags. No contest at all.

It is different when you are the one to beat. Cannot hide at the shadow all the time. No way. He can still win, but won't be the same. IMHO.

It's very impressive that Pogacar at such a young age with such a weak team and after losing time due to wind still managed to defeat Roglic in the middle of his prime, who had a super strong team. If anything in the coming years things should be more favourable to Pogacar (stronger team, prime age, no wind losses), at least considering his rivalry with Roglic.

Yeah, sure you can.
I wait until the last day, because I'd change my mind in the meantime, anyway, but you can do your pre-race predictions for all races whenever you want (just before the race starts...). If you want to change your pre-race prediction before the start you can always do that, too, it's just a bit more work to keep track, then, so it would be helpful to not do it constantly. There are no rules for that, however. The last change counts.

And of course the pre-race prediction for Strade would be good now, in any case, but I think last year the rule was, that if you don't give a pre-race-prediction the March prediction counts as pre-race prediction as well, so if it's the same, you don't even need to state it specifically.

Which brings me to the most pressing point: Anybody interested in taking over this game? Otherwise you will be subjected to my calculation abilities, and I'm not sure that's in anybody's interest. I tried to make an excel (okay, open office) sheet earlier in the day, and already failed at the most basic task: saving things before the program decides it has had enough. Anybody? A knight or lady in shining armour or at least lycra?

When creating my predictions I made an assumption that top TdF guys won't be able to win the OG (too little time to rest and overcome time difference) and won't fight for Vuelta victory (again, not much time to recuperate after TdF and Olympics). Therefore there's a bit of a gamble with Evenepoel predictions.

So, we now have 33 players, a Schnapszahl as we say in Germany, I think there is no nice and ugly equivalent of this expression and I don't know if it's a good thing or not, but anyway, for Strade it seems there is one! person so far who dared to pick SOMEBODY ELSE than van der Poel, van Aert or Alaphilippe in at least one of their predictions for Strade (Mollema).

If you want to be the 34st player and beat Kovo by predicting that Greg van Avermaet (not totally impossible?), Ben Zwiehoff, or, shocking, Jakob Fuglsang will win this bike race, you can do this until tomorrow morning when the riders roll out of Siena to have a nice, bucolic ride to, well, Siena.

If you suddenly have doubts that Tadej will win this race this year, despite you saying so, you can give a pre-race prediction which differs from your original post. You can even pick a complete outsider from a small team like Kwiatkowski ! Yes, that's allowed!
