Registration will start around october/november going by last year.

It was fun, but different from sportives where I'm from, where everything is against the clock and you got alot of 50yo that are screaming and shouting all the way. This was more a sunday ride with a lot of people.

Assume it's RVV you mean. Why anyone would want to ride Paris-Roubaix beats me. In the end I started crying whenever I saw some cobbles approaching and this was in RVV.

There's no limit on registration for Flanders. In fact, you can sign up as late as the day before at the booth in Ninove. Just watch the site for when registration begins.

As for Roubaix:D:D:D Awesome event. I get goose bumps thinking about it. Really fun for me. Probably more fun than Flanders (20,000+ cyclists can be a bit much).

Roubaix is all about bike set-up though. Here's the link;

thanks gents.

never ridden pave, but will try to find some patches this autumn, to prepare.

Wheels with wide rims, 25mm or larger tires and lower air pressure will help you.

The stones will get your attention, no doubt about that.

Yep, I'd choose Roubaix over RvV in a heartbeat. Love riding it.

@lancaster
I used 28mm tyres at around 90psi
In fact, those tyres have only done last year's Roubaix course, this year's RvV and Roubaix (including a couple of goes on Arenberg), so am happy to sell them if you'd like - i'll be heading back to Aus, so will have no need of them...

Yeah, you will need your pennies whern you head back.

Just left after a 3 week holiday there with family, Brisbane is approx 40% more expensive than PARIS!! would you believe. Transport, accomodation, food, the LOT is very pricey.

Using the "Big Mac index", it matches with my guesstimate of 40% higher than Paris.

Hope you enjoy the move back, at least the winters will be better.
