Greipel's group seems to have stopped making up any ground on the break and are returning to the peleton. Fenn and someone were sitting on, so I think they gave up a bit.

does anyone know who the commentator in this link is?

http://sports-livez.com/channel/ch-2.php

was listening to this stream the other day and he instantaneously identified every single rider correctly...it was weird after having listened to P&P and david harmon misidentify riders over and over :D

it is marty mcdonald, who does most of the commentary on/for cycling tv.

Thanks! Might have to check that out, he seems very knowledgeable about the sport and it's nice to hear riders correctly identified for a change

Does he also pronounce names correctly, instead of *******izing them??? (watching at work with no sound)

Yeah, much better than other english announcers. He's also been doing it solo, which isn't my favorite, but he seems to be handling it fairly well

LOL, monster attack by Greiple on the hill, dropping own teammates like flies

I love that greipel doesn't just sit in and wait for the sprint. The other day he wound it up for hansen and now today he's been attacking like crazy. Awesome

Yeah, same here. Plus the little stuff, like dropping back to check up on a fallen teammate.

OK, Fenn officially sucks. They had Haller dropped like a stone, wouldn't work with Greipel, ****ed him off and now Haller is off solo ahead of those two with Fenn still sitting on Andre's wheel. Is Fenn bottle's new student at OPQS?

you're welcome. he is, in my opinion, exceptionally knowledgeable where cycling announcers are concerned.

Why would he work together with Greipel who will outsprint him unless Fenn tires him out?

Doesn't make sense. if Fenn and Greipel had worked together to bridge, the former could have helped his teammate, who is only down 3:40 or so on the leader, extend his gap and make a play for the jersey, or at least a podium shot. What's up with that?

The guy in bright green (not europcar) looks just like the green lantern with those glasses...

Well there was the one guy on that turkish team that looked a bit like Cippolini on my choppy stream

Come on now. Why would Fenn want to bring one of the best sprinters in the world up to his teammate?

This. (nice I didn't even have to type the explanation myself)
