I searched my feelings and knew it to be true.

Afrank said:I think he could still reach the top 10 (maybe top 5 depending on how tired he is) even with the Tour in his legs. If he hadn't done the Tour though he would surly be one of the top contender for the win.
Should definitely be able to take a couple stages though.

Last year, contador snatched victory away from others because of that amazing attack. That sort of stuff cannot happen regularly in GTs. Law of averages say that Purito will get the win this time.

The Hitch said:I said from the start. Murito should have gone for a nearly guaranteed Vuelta win and favourite for the worlds, rather than podium for Tour. Its a hard decision cos its maybe his last season on peak and he did the giro vuelta last 2 seasons already, but it was the better option.

The Hitch said:I feel so so bad for Joaquim Rodriguez now. He is easily the unluckiest man in cycling (excluding stuff like crashes).
Looks like he never will get that big win. And no Lombardia which never made the papers in Spain is not a big win. I mean GT, Worlds, Olympics or Liege which he said was his dream race.
