And an obsession of yours. Be happy the course was this technical, otherwise Iserbyt would have been nowhere near Van Aert.

This one will be very satisfying for Brand, I don't think she's ever beaten Pieterse and Van Empel who are both on form (although both today and in Koksijde it seemed Van Empel lacked that extra gear she normally has).

Pieterse got lucky this time. I’m a bit surprised that she hasn’t developed more sustainable power since last year. She and Van Empel are the women equivalent of Van der Poel and Van Aert and by this time in their careers they were making mincemeat of the old guard. I would not think that Brand has become that much stronger since last year but her technique has improved and so she is quicker. The rest have lots of catching up to do.

Puck will ride the Dutch nationals, Brand maybe, and Van Empel certainly won't.

Unbelievable how consistent Brand is. She rides nearly every race, just phenomenal.

This course couldn't be better for Van Aert. He might even have given Van der Poel a run for his money.

I thought the womens race was alright, given the conditions, I dont want every cyclocross race to just be a fast dry race, mud and gloop should be part of it sometimes

the mens was just boring, but most of them have been this year for one reason or another, I dont feel it was the course that caused that today.

Happy to see Wout back in good form for the upcoming road season and that he still can put on good CX showing. Total control, he looked strong, relaxed and confident.

He’s often beaten Mvdp on these sorts of tractor pull courses.
