Pieterse got lucky this time. I’m a bit surprised that she hasn’t developed more sustainable power since last year. She and Van Empel are the women equivalent of Van der Poel and Van Aert and by this time in their careers they were making mincemeat of the old guard. I would not think that Brand has become that much stronger since last year but her technique has improved and so she is quicker. The rest have lots of catching up to do.

Two less than inspiring races, but we knew what we were going to get. I wish they'd bin Dendermonde off, or move it to October/November when it's drier.
If it willl rain at the Worlds, we will have a similar scenario like today, with a lot of mud and running sections.

2022 French nationals on the same course as Worlds 2025:

Ah, Line Burquier, who seems to have disappeared from racing, but is still active on instagram.

I thought the womens race was alright, given the conditions, I dont want every cyclocross race to just be a fast dry race, mud and gloop should be part of it sometimes

the mens was just boring, but most of them have been this year for one reason or another, I dont feel it was the course that caused that today.
