Rate the 2017 Paris-Roubaix

The best moments of the race where when Boonen and Sagan measured ding-dongs, but as other have said, it was really anticlimactic. Needed someone flying over Carrefour or something like that, but it never really happened. Cancellara was missed.

Anyhow, it was probably a slightly above mediocre edition? I dno, its hard to judge.

I gave it a 4. Another amazing race without a proper finale as RVV IMHO. GVA did it all right,but his victories are all and the same aka sprint from a reduced group with no real threat (Omloop excluded). GVA has never managed to give me the feeling he was the strongest rider in any race he won this year,but maybe it's just me.

That last part is confusing, is he meant to be winning solo to show that he is the strongest? It's not like he's just been sitting on waiting for the sprint, he's launched attacks and has been prepared to work in every break he's been involved in. The fact that he's pretty much dominated the classics season shows he has been the strongest rider this time around.

The race was good, but the best part came from the (my) announcers Paul Sherwin and Phil Liggett. Of course Paul said (at least once) "riding like a man possessed" -- but I swear I heard Phil say the same phrase about 10-15 minutes later, right before a TV break. I've never heard Phil say that before. :lol:
