Sean Yates has just been on BBC radio five live in the UK denying that he ever saw or heard anything about Armstrong's doping activities.

Embarrassing.

he has to get fired though. even if he didn't know which is EXTREMELY doubtful. he should now his position is bad for cycling and just go. he's just trying to save his job and it's not going to work. goodbye yates! idiot anyway deciding wiggins was to win the tour instead of froome.

It was not some drug that made @lancearmstrong win it was something far more powerful deep within .

Why support @lancearmstrong? I was there training 6-7hrs a day beside him in the mountains- freezing rain up Mt Ventoux-Izoard-Avoriaz.

Okay Patrick.

this is always so hilarious. as if others didn't train like maniacs. only training doesn't make you a star.

Yay for the new, clean generation!

Seriously, I get the feeling these guys haven't even read the decision.

the guy was obviously a lance-fan. this sinks in hard with them. trust me I've known quite a few in my life that I can laugh at now

Nooooo Samu!!!!

Lance Armstrong still has some support among riders in elite cycling despite a damning report by the US Anti-Doping Agency that detailed testimony from 26 witnesses, including 11 former teammates.

Samuel Sanchez, the 2008 Olympic road race champion, is among those supporting the American rider.

In a Spanish language television interview with The Associated Press before today's third stage of the Tour of Beijing, the Euskaltel-Euskadi rider says, "Until the contrary is proved, he remains innocent. Lance has overcome many controls and even until today he has never been found positive in any of them."

USADA released vivid details of the doping accusations, portraying Armstrong as a man who spared nothing to win the Tour de France seven times. The agency has ordered that Armstrong be stripped of those titles.

of course he does. all his teammates were doped to the moon in euskaltel until they had to fire their doctor in june 2004, after millars testifieing

true, but still would they only dope him?

Who says they would only dope him?

I didnt realize you had totally eliminated the possibility of anyone else on the team doping. I thought your comment that wiggins wasnt doping because he didnt weigh as much as Lance was just a joke.

Now that i see you were serious and took it 100% proof of being clean, i ask, does that mean Pantani must have been clean? Because he weighed even less.

I always knew Samu doped, but that he defends lance so strongly now suggests to me that he may still be doing it.

it's because of his former teammates and friends like zubeldia, mayo, landaluze etc

lol. you are totally clueless here. it's about bmi. lance's bmi is ridiculous compared to his way of racing. the guy rode harder and more explosive than purito on climbs, who is 18 kg lighter and only 8 cm smaller. or compare to contador who is same size but 12 kg lighter

also. I asked for suspicious riders at sky and if you could only name froome then it doesn't mean much to me. I remember with us epostal some quite ridiuclous improvements like hincapie, danielson and landis for instance

Perhaps..

But probably also because CN can then quickly verify them and use them for articles...

Stealing other people's research without referencing their efforts is plagiarism.

A number of different video interviews here. Scroll down the page to see them.

David Walsh,
Shane Stokes,
Tyler Hamiton,
Sean Kelly,
Jeremy Whittle from The Times,
Armstrong's lawyer Sean Breen.

Sean Kellys interview is beyond belief, praises McQuaid, can't understand how they got away with it etc etc, was that him or some farmer they roped in pretending to be him :(

I heard that interview this morning and was shaking my head in despair. Really bad journalism letting Kelly spout such nonsense without challenging him. I'd expect it from Kelly but Paraic Lodge the interviewer was awful.

Going from 133rd in Tour de france (2006), outside top 100 upon pulling out (2007) to 4th (2009) is not suspicious?

wiggins was an a-class talent (like it or not) that unlike lance dropped huge amounts of weight and rode like a coward to win the only tour he'll ever come close

Well, with Levi, George, CVV and DZ als going cold Turkey, Jan and Tyler kicked out, Lance on a sabattical, all right around that time... that's already helping a brother move up a bit already, right?

Joan Horrach, classy as always:

Those USADA folks are airing the dirty laundry now... what a crappy sport, they're always throwing sh** at us... #disgustingrules!

My response:
Were you one of those who spat on Simeoni? It's not the USADA throwing sh** at you guys, it's USPS, UCI and tweets like yours.

His response:
If you gave me the chance I would so spit on you... green gob on your face...
