I replaced the Shimano 105 cables and housings on my GF's bike with Jagwires and the difference is like chalk and cheese. I'd say they are better than Gore at a much better price!!!richwagmn said:I have. When shimano switched to underbar routing of the shift cables (think Ulegra 6700) for their higher end STI levers, I had problems with imprecise shifting due to cable drag on the rear derailleur. Switching to a lower drag cable housing certainly worked for me. Indeed Shimano wants to use the very latest version of their cable housings because they're supposed to have much less drag.
I used the Yokozunas but the brake housings are a ***** to work with for two reasons. They're mega stiff and they're a bit oversized. Trying to get the cable housing seated in an ultegra 6700 caliper required heroic efforts. I doubt I'll use the Yokozunas again.
I've heard good things about the jaqwire sets.
My current bike is the first one I've had without Campy. I really don't mind Dura Ace but I know that I'll be switching back on my next bike.ElChingon said:Well don't want to take this into the Campy vs Shimano realm but I guess I understand now.![]()
