Movies about scamming your way to the top in the big city
- Scarface (1982)

Scarface is worth watching just to see the fabulous acting job by Al Pachino, although the life portrayed by Pachino in Scarface is a rather sick one. But I actually can't think of a movie where Al did not do a superb acting job.

To change the subject for a moment, ...Johnny Depp in his Pirates role: HOT!

Susan

Depp really did a super acting job in the latest Pirates film, and so did Geoffrey Rush. I think Rush is another one of those super talents, who did a great job in the King's Speech as the King's tutor (or whatever you'd call that role).

One movie with a lot of hype that IMO is not worth it: THOR.
For a superhero film, there's only one worthy superhero scene.

Yesterday I decided to buy "Scott Pilgrim vs the World" on a whim. It's pretty hilarious and absurd, it's packed full of comics, videogames and music, and Mary Elizabeth Winstead is super cute in this movie.

Toshiro Mifune is awesome, one of the best.

Its an amazing film. some of the frames are like an exquisite painting.

Loved A King's Speech. I am a huge Helena Bonham Carter fan. Love when she gets to be funny/snarky.

I love movies. Here are some of my favorites:
Live From Baghdad - about how CNN was the only international news team reporting live in Baghdad when the bombing started. Excellent movie.

A Mighty Heart - although the book was better.
Snatch
Dodgeball
Anchorman
Easy A
- "if I can keep the boys off the pipe and the girls off the pole, I get a bonus"!
Caddyshack - "so I got that goin' for me" LOL
Fletch
Zoolander

Almost Famous - great sound track
A Knight's Tale - great sound track

I am more of a comedy kind of girl, if you can't tell by movie selections.

watch old school if you haven't already

Holy mackerel Zam, you much watch a lot of movies.

I saw Larry Crowne (new release with Hanks and Julia Roberts) with the Mrs. It was kind of a cute chick flick. It was not a comedy, but had some decent humor. I'd give it a 3 or 3.5 stars out of 5.

I love anything by Kurasawa. I got the bug for him many years ago, and we have a great vid rental place here in town...lots of classics and foreign, so I have pretty much seen all /most of Kurasawa's flix. My very favorites are with Toshiro Mifune in them...he's a very unsung actor IMHO. He has done so many samurai movies that he is overlooked for his talent to play anything.
The Hidden Fortress is a fave...great tongue-in-cheek humour :)

I saw Terri w John C. Reilly, pretty good movie. I hope everybody can see a movie called Girlfriend. I was absolutely amazed by this movie. Everybody from the guy serving coffee while filming to the guy that dropped off the film at the theater did their jobs right. Evan Sneider is pretty f-cking awesome in this movie
