Relationship Stories (APPROPRIATE!!)

I hope this isn't against any rules, but I was wondering if anyone had some great relationship stories like I married this wonderful woman/man, now I am awesomely happy etc. or I'm so glad I broke up with this girl/guy because now I am crazy in love with this guy/girl. The reason I ask, is I'm personally on the tail end of a long and rough breakup. I just recently concluded that it is a good thing I broke up with the girl, but now things just seem a little on the daunting side.

I am one of the youngest members of the forum (I think) as I am a college student, so many of you are much wiser than me. I was wondering if there was also any advice you guys could give me.

And please, if you write anything, keep it appropriate! Thanks!

i have a few stories, but i will have to think carefully about whether or not i can post them.

fortunately, i am on very good terms with the vast majority of my ex-es, many of whom still stay in touch. only a couple literally embodied the aphorism, "hell hath no fury like a woman scorned."

I have only two rules about breakups, both of which have always served me well: 1. change is good, and 2. never go back. I stuck by those rules in my college years and now have the happy, sappy relationship that can allow me to write volumes of inappropriate material and completely derail this thread. So damn right it's a good thing you left her, it's only daunting for a while and soon you'll be having the time of your life. You're young so be selfish, do things simply because they look fun, and you'll probably fall backasswards into the best relationship of your life.

Oh yeah, around here you never associate age with wisdom!

Agree completely. Took a while to accept the first one, but every time it's been true. The second one I almost went down that path once, saw the impending disaster, and didn't.
