I'd like nothing better for this to turn it into a buddy movie with a happy ending. Ideally, Remco and Roglic collaborating on a big win or two to close our Roglic's career, and then collaborating on Remco taking down one or both of the top 3 (Pog, Vinge, MVDP) in a big event, setting him up for the future.

...I think it's more likely to go the way of UAE without Pogacar, though.
I don’t know, I think they might work together but only if they are equally as good because both of them will have their chance. If one is better than the other, not so sure

Sacrificing Giro to prepare for the Tour optimally and to go there with a stronger team, that for sure is an open option, other options in terms of GT racing are rather attractive too. I don't see real problems here.
I still have no clue why you'd throw the Giro out the window and instead focus on the Tour being a 3rd stringer when Remco rolls around. Makes no sense. I believe most fans of Roglic would like to see him attend races where he can actually win instead of doing some kamikaze 3rd week moves that goes nowhere. Thats beneath him, and it doesn't really make you look good, especially not when you have a podium place you want to defend.

The way i see it is if now RBH has three riders that can rather comfortably finish on the podium at the Tour, then winning it is IMHO still open to Rogla. So from this point of view stronger focus on the Tour preparation can become a viable option. Something like Giro-Vuelta of course a great option too if available. Still, Tour is missing and a combo of some classics, ToS and Tour is something to consider. Unless the team says NO, we will only push Remco for the Tour, then fine and maybe in 2027 and in 2026 season to rather do Giro-Vuelta and that is that.

Anyway, first world problems.

Comfortably podium? Winning the Tour is still an option? Brother, thats long, long gone. Its not 2022 anymore.

As said:

Then again you failed to see it from the get go.

Anyway, first world problems. Personally i feel that and if the team won't be pushing for Remco exclusively, that Rogla will be racing at the Tour 2026. In that case Giro might get sacrificed for better preparation in regards to the Tour, aiming for the win.

Pressing with riders like Rogla, Remco and Lipo. I doubt that either Pogi or Jonas or both wouldn't get caught in it. It's the right amount of pressure. If Rogla, Remco and Lipo start riding as Rogla did deeper into the race, something will snap, there is no way UAE and Visma can control that. Individual quality of Pogi and Jonas has limits too. All in all to dethrone Pogi and Jonas, or both, that won't happen by playing their game and it won't work if RBH to participate with weak team.

These problems you're facing Abi feels more huge, more like third-world problems than first-world ones to be honest.

I mean even if they just sit there, positioned third, fourth and fifth, that is likely more then enough pressure for the duo ahead. As at some point they will start to get ideas.

Man, you almost convinced me that if not those frequent meetings with tarmac Rogla would crush those wannabes Pogi & Vingo. Fortunately for them flying is also Rogla's passion.

Unfortunately this year Rogla crashed out of podium, he can't help himself.

Next year it will be better. Rogla, Remco and Lipo will ride as an unit, for the first two weeks they will make sure UAE and Visma do all the job and will hence keep Pogi and Jonas ahead. The trio will be patiently waiting in the top five, if any other rider will attempt to penetrate the top five group they will simply use numbers on him. In third week they will tackle Pogi and Jonas and one of them will win the Tour.

Remco should do full classics campaign and focus on vuelta next year at bora

Lippipotamus to the tour for GC

Pelizzari to the Giro for GC, with Hindley

Roglic focus on Ardennes classics, Tour de Suisse and stage hunting at the tour. Ideally then go to vuelta with remco for full forum entertainment value
