I guess a lot of us are reaching an age where our heros (especially those in high risk jobs, like rock & roll) are gonna start dropping like flies.
That being said he was awesome and they made a lot of great music, at least until Lowell went off the reservation.

I saw them several times in the middle 70s...I know they kept touring but I couldn't want to see them without Lowell. I can't imagine anything worse except maybe Jethro Tull minus Ian Anderson.
