Good to see that women's cycling is getting some mainstream coverage. Here at the BBC:

Wiggins, Froome and Vos make a good case for the mantle of world's best cyclist, but there is a new pretender to the title.

What does everyone think. Is Pauline the world's best cyclist, edging out Froome, Wiggins and Vos?

Why isn't BBC embarrassed by posting something like this? Seriously some of the journalist at bbc and cyclingweekly need to study cycling a little more.

Wish they'd move those barriers in so they can't ride along the gutter on the cobbled climb.

I have proposed to fill the gutter with sod. It's cheap, soft and easy to remove. Should become the standard for every race.

Took some print screens of the gutter. At least, it looks really bad. :D Let's hope they haven't fixed it.

Gutter looked fine from what I have seen with plenty of riders choosing that way up the cobbled hill. they have obviously fixed it since those pics were taken.

The junior women found this course very selective. The winner had 1:40 over the group for 4th (5th maybe). It's the biggest gap for the winner ever in the WCs.

Yeah, but looking at the TT and the road race, this Dygart girl seems to play with the opponents.

Van A needs to learn patience when he rides - Conserve energy and attack when its ABSOLUTELY necessary.

Pricey_sky is right, the gutter destroys the otherwise fun climb of Libby Hill. They go twice as fast on it. Fill it with sod.

I wonder how much cycling some watch - Degenkold left his small group to chase the smaller breakaway in the Paris Roubaix - To say otherwise is wrong.

I'm impressed. The final 4km are seriously hard - an attack will drop the sprinters but not the punchers.

Enough to distance Kristoff and/or Degenkolb?

We'll see. If the last 60-70km are ridden hard with rain then yes. Otherwise they will drop to 15th wheel and sprint to victory. However the group looks really spread out after Governor street every time.

As far as I know, it's not just on the climbs there are cobbles. Should be some flat sectors with cobbles. Shockoe Slip is one of them. Anybody know if you can make difference there? Would be good for the Boonen/Terpstra/Vanmacke-type of riders.

I have the idea that it will be easier to drop Kristoff than Degenkolb. Kristoff is faster, but Degenkolb is the better climber.

I really hope the producer will give us the time gaps in the elite race. All I've been seeing in that template is the km's to go.
