I am getting sick watching this cameraman... have they not go an helicopter?

Too close to Richmond International Airport would be my guess.

I think it's federal aviation regs do not let the copters fly as low (particularly over cities) as we're used to seeing in Europe. I liked the idea of having the worlds in the U.S., but too bad to grant championships to country's that can't do an adequate broadcast. On the other hand, the IOC just granted the winter games to a place that doesn't get snow, and we're getting the WC in Dubai, so I shouldn't be surprised . . .
Nice racing anyways.

The way it's shaping up I think it could be between Matthews and Sagan. Both should be strong enough to follow attacks in the last lap. Hard pace should put the other sprinters in trouble.

Not so far. There's a pure sprinter leading the break right now.
I don't think the sprinters will be dropped before the last lap, because none of the puncheurs will go all in before the last lap. But the hard pace throughout the race should have taken enough out of them that they will struggle to hold the wheels of the puncheurs on the last lap when they all go flat out.

Thanks, makes sense. Especially downtown.

I'm okay with having no heli, it sometimes kills the excitement when it pans the picture and shows the gap. ;)

Dowsett attacks and about five minutes later abandons.

Probably just wanted to mess with everyone like Greipel did in Flanders
Except that Greipel was awesome in Flanders--he probably attacked half a dozen times and still finished 15th at the end of the race. Pretty much the opposite of making one lame attack and then dropping out.

Clouds should be moving closer to Richmond.

Ian Van Stannard, Boonen and Vanmarke killing it on the front, where is Stijn Vandenbergh to chase it down

I love the 432man teams in these kinds of races. Makes it really rewarding to race aggressively.

If nothing, they are making Australia and Germany work for it at least, not seen Norway yet

They briefly came to the front about 2-3 hours ago. Not really setting the pace, just coming to the front.
