Valverde, i'm looking at you but not even you could do what happened today.

Can't find it now: downhill finish in the Vuelta that saw Nibali and three teammates manage to deliver the stage victory to (I think I remember it as) Lastras.

I'm sure one of you will remember the details.

It wasn't half as bad as today's meltdown. At least Sagan, Nibali's teammate at the time, won that stage. Lastras was second. Cannondale's tactical meltdown occurred due to one of Nibali's other teammates outsprinting him, so Nibali did not get a time bonus (not that it mattered as he finished the Vuelta in 7th (if I remember correctly).

Haha, Sagan won but Agnoli panicked and sprinted for 3rd and pick up the 8 bonus seconds instead of Nibali.

That was back when Sagan was a machine. First he left gap in front of himself to Nibali and Agnoli (I think) that Lastras had to close and in the sprint he was just chilling, looking to the side all the time to see if Nibali could come around Lastras and then kicked in the last 50 metres to Secure the stage win.

Thanks for the correction to my ailing memory (and also to the two that preceded you): that's why I couldn't find it, as I was searching for it as a win by Lastras (or some other Movistarite)

Silin and Trofimov (Team Katusha) in the last Dauphine. Westra caught them in the last meters and won.

Yes, but as far as I remember the Katusha riders were cooked and just couldn't hold Westra's wheel when he caught them.

Schlecks vs. Gilbert at LBL 2011?

Gosh, just watched that again as it had been awhile (2011?). The Schlecks' tactical accumen really leaves something to be desired. What's the point of being in the winning move if you won't even try...?
